Let's say you're using Donation Tags to track the different projects/events your donations are from and you find that a certain tag has been created twice in your settings.
You could just delete the duplicate tag right? No, in the event that you're unsure which donations are tagged to which duplicate, refrain from deleting the duplicate tag right-away.
The easiest workaround for this issue is to rename one of the tags. All donations under that donation tag will immediately be updated to reflect the new name.
Thereafter, go back to the Donation tab and use the following Group-By:
After applying the Group-By, you should be able to see which donation records are tagged to the renamed duplicate.
Expand the records under the renamed duplicate tag and select all records under it.
Click on the Donation Tag 3 field for the first selected donation record. A small dropdown will appear. From there, select a new donation tag (the one we did not rename).
The system will prompt you to confirm the change. Click OK.
Thereafter, the donation tag for those donations will be updated and there will be no more donations tagged to the duplicate.
Lastly, go to Configurations --> Donation Tag 3 and delete the duplicate tag.
